Margate Calypso Cove Water Park

Margate Calypso Cove Water Park

This project required the reconstruction of an existing four-acre park, formerly known as the Royal Palm Pool, in the City of Margate, Florida. Funded by state and county grants, the old pool was demolished and removed so that the new facility could be constructed. The reconstructed aquatic park now contains three new pools to serve as the City’s aquatic center, including a zero-depth pool, plunge pool, and a six-lane lap pool. New pavilions, play areas, basketball courts, fishing dock, an 800 SF event room, and additional parking are also part of the new facility. The overall island water theme of the Calypso Cove Water Park is emphasized by the use of tropical plant material exhibiting vibrant colors, textures and forms that complement and accentuate the architecture.
