MARGARITA WEIDENER, PSM, NOMINATED TO GIRL SCOUT COUNCIL OF TROPICAL FLORIDA (MIAMI) BOARD OF DIRECTORS

2/19/2010

MIAMI, FL -- Margarita Weidener, PSM, Regional Manager of Miller Legg’s Miami Office and member of the firm’s Board of Directors, was recently nominated to the Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida’s Board of Directors for a three-year term. The Tropical Florida Council covers Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties. She was appointed by Alice Bravo, PE, Director of Transportation at Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District 6.
Before merging her firm with Miller Legg in 2007, Weidener was President of Weidener Surveying and Mapping Services, a 22-year-old Miami-based surveying firm with multiple offices throughout Florida. As a woman President of a professional services firm, she exemplified strong leadership and commitment to her community. This Girl Scout Board position is a good example of utilizing Weidener’s leadership and management skills to assist Girl Scouts, as their Girl Scout mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
Miller Legg is a 44-year-old multi-disciplined consulting firm with multiple offices throughout Florida. Services provided include surveying, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), planning, civil engineering, traffic engineering, landscape architecture, environmental risk management and environmental consulting.
