Abacoa Town Center
Jupiter, Florida
An aesthetic balance of the Abacoa Town Center's design theme is carried throughout all elements of the 25-acre mixed-use tract, which is located adjacent to the Roger Dean Stadium. The site includes more than 500 residential units, in three, four and five-story buildings, along with ground floor retail shops, restaurants and offices.
Miller Legg provided complete engineering and surveying services for this initial phase of the Town Center including site infrastructure design of paving, drainage, and water and sewer utilities. The unique character of this mixed-use development required a complete network of underground utilities to meet the stringent needs of each tenant.
Some of the unique features of this project are:
- Pedestrian friendly streetscape elements
- "Theatre Green" - an outdoor amphitheater with stage
- On-street parallel parking
- Two parking garages to accommodate Roger Dean Stadium patrons
- Pedestrian interface with Florida Atlantic University's Honors College and Roger Dean Stadium
- Colonnade architectural treatments along Town Center Drive
