JFK Medical Center Parking Garage and Additions to Emergency Room/Intensive Care Unit
Atlantis, Florida
JFK Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility, with
387 hospital beds, on a 21-acre campus in Atlantis, Palm
Beach County. Miller Legg has provided site engineering
services since 1993 for a variety of expansion projects on the
campus.
Services provided included:
- site master plan development
- traffic circulation and parking studies
- site paving and drainage improvements
- site utilities relocations and improvements
- permitting with state and local agencies
- off-site roadway improvements
- construction observations and certifications
Specific projects have included:
- The Rothman Center, a 4-story acute care facility
- a 3-story parking garage for 300 vehicles
- complete parking lot reconstruction with new driveways to Congress Avenue (SR 807)
- Medical Specialist Building, a two-story medical office facility
Miller Legg has been selected as site engineer for the $80
million expansion to the medical/surgical/intensive care unit
and emergency departments. This expansion has been
designed to include a new five-story parking deck.
