North County Neighborhood Improvement Project
Broward County, Florida
North County Neighborhood Improvement Project, a 2,900-acre project located in Broward County that consists of master planning, design and construction contract administration for: water, sewer, drainage, roadway pavement, landscaping, sidewalks, and streetscaping improvements.
This Broward County project included: first, a Basis of Design Report (BODR) that evaluated the existing conditions and provided recommendations for improvements; and actual project design and contract administration during construction.
This 10- to 15-year project involves storm water and sewer system modeling, permitting and design of the water, sewer, drainage, and roadway improvements, surveying, public awareness, preparation of contract and bid documents, and field monitoring.
The design of streetscapes, entry features, and landscapes for the project is critical to create the "sense of place" for the communities.
