Sandy Ground Marina
Anguilla, British West Indies

The design team has been commissioned by BET Holdings, Inc. to provide master planning, landscape architectural services and a preliminary civil engineering infrastructure cost analysis for the Sandy Ground Marina.

The marina is proposed to occur just to the west of the Sandy Ground Village in an existing salt pond, on the Caribbean island of Anguilla. The purpose of the marina is to promote tourism and economic development while continuing to maintain the culture and environment of the existing island.

The first phase of the development will provide a state-of-the-art marina facility which will allow dockage for up to 100 marine vessels with an average length of 55 feet. This flexible dockage design will also accommodate 10 to 20 mega-yachts.

The phase one landside facilities will include up to 25,000 square feet of commercial space. Uses for this space will include a Harbour master complex, customs center, marine retail, boat chartering services, duty-free retail shops, restaurants, entertainment venues and personal services which include a spa, hairdresser, gym, bank, dry cleaner, and provisions store.
