The Ridges
Weston, Florida
This 530-acre single family residential community in Broward County was designed around the centerpiece of a large recreational area and linear park system.
The linear park was divided into both passive and active uses that culminated at the 11-acre recreational facility.
The key elements designed as part of the community in an 11-acre recreational facility include:
- open play areas
- swimming facility
- picnicking areas
- interactive playground
In addition, large archeological areas exist on the project site. These archeological sites were developed as interpretive passive recreation areas that enhance the sense of identity for the community and offer insight into the historical significance of these areas.
Community theming including signage, play equipment and materials were also in the scope of work for this project.
