Our Environmental Team has been hard at work!
Miller Legg recently gave a presentation to the Victoria Park Community Council about the sandhill crane monitoring and upland preserve maintenance that we have been doing annually since 2009 for the residential community in Deland, Florida. Sandhill cranes are a state-listed threatened species that nest in wetlands and typically lay 1 to 3 eggs per clutch and the chicks (called colts) stay with their parents for nearly a year before going off on their own.
