Miller Leggers proudly hit the pavement once again in support of the Annual Sheridan House Family Values 5K, continuing our longstanding support for Sheridan House. For over 20 years, we’ve partnered with this incredible organization, helping to create spaces that positively impact families and children in our community.
Town of Davie – School Supply Donation Drive

This month, Miller Legg was thrilled to support the Town of Davie’s School Supply Donation Drive. The Town in partnership with Rick and Rita Case Boys and Girls Clubs, Florence A. De George Unit Boys and Girls Club and Davie Police Athletic League (PAL) jointly hosted the school supply drive. The donations help children in need within our community to prepare for back-to-school.
Sheridan House – Family Values 5K

Miller Legg proudly participated in the Sheridan House Family Values 5K in Davie. For more than two decades we’ve been honored to support Sheridan House as they expand their campus and programs. And a huge Congratulations to our very own Jessica Romer for her first-place finish in her age group!

Seminole Tribe of Florida

Swinging for a cause, Miller Legg played the green in the Seminole Tribe of Florida’s the 5th Annual Chairman of the Greens Charity Golf Tournament! All proceeds of the event went to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation & Boys & Girls Club of Broward County – Thomas D. Stephanis Club. Miller Legg’s Dylan Larson, and Mike Dunshee played with Emran Rahaman, & Mario Mena from STOF Public Works to make the ultimate dream team!
Town of Davie – Toy Drive

Improving communities…Miller Leggers know how important it is to give back to our own communities, and filled two boxes with toys, including action figures, cars, balls, dolls and coloring kits to the Town of Davie Holiday Toy Drive. Miller Leggers were excited to be a part of ASCE Miami-Dade Branch Field Day at Zoo Miami. The day was filled with fun and games, and even though we did not place, a great day was had by all. The annual event helps raise funds for scholarships for future engineering students.

On an early Saturday morning in February, Miller Leggers gathered in Davie to participate in the Sheridan House Family Values 5K. For more than 20 years, Miller Legg has worked with Sheridan House in their effort to expand their campus and programs.
Harvest Drive Florida Program

During the holiday season, Miller Legg staff contributed toiletry items to the Harvest Drive Florida Program, a grassroots volunteer program that has helped Broward County schools students and their families with various basic goods over the past 30 years. We collected donations to fill 3 bulging boxes which Leslie Hernandez, Chief Financial Officer, delivered to Western High School, as part of a large holiday distribution on December 19th.

The devastation caused by Hurricane Ian hit close to home and Miller Leggers were more than happy to contribute to the Davie-Cooper City Chamber of Commerce Relief Drive. With only a few days to gather the items, our staff was quick to respond.

Mercedes Benz Corporate Run

After the rain moved through, Miller Leggers ran and walked 3.1 miles through Downtown Fort Lauderdale for the Mercedes Benz Corporate Run. The 37th annual run continues to support the United Ways of Broward, Miami-Dade and Palm Beach counties.
Broward College 34th Golf Classic

Michael Kroll, RLA, FASLA, President and Dylan Larson, SPWS, CEP, GTA, Vice President, participated in Broward College’s Annual Golf Classic. The event raised more than $112,000 for the Empowerment Fund which provides for the needs of Broward College students.

Behind the scenes, Cara Pasquale, Director of Business Development, and Mike Kroll served on the committee on this event which raised $93,000 for students and teachers in Palm Beach County.

Project Stable Annual Fundraiser

Project Stable held their 25th Annual Fundraiser at Old Davie School House. Miller Legg has been a proud supporter of Project Stable, an equestrian and farm program that works with special-needs children, for almost 20 years.
Nicklaus Children’s Hospital Coloring Book Drive
While the doctors and nurses are busy taking care of patients, coloring books help keep Nicklaus Children’s patients occupied, distracted from their hospital visit, and on their way to feeling better. In continuing our commitment to our valued partner, the Miller Legg team donated three over-stuffed boxes of coloring books and supplies to the patients of NCH.
Mercedes Benz Corporate Run / Walk 2018

The Miller Legg team of 11 runners and walkers participated in the annual Mercedes Benz Corporate Run. This year, over 8.500 participants ran or walked the 3.1 mile course! The MBCR is an institution in South Florida and is one of the largest 5K races in the nation. The United Way of Miami is the charity partner for this incredible event and we are proud to participate each year.
One Blood Donation

In keeping with our mission to Improve Communities, Miller Legg staff jumped on the Big Red Bus and donated blood and platelets. We had many successful donations and look forward to our next event in the fall.
Send Your Sales Tax To Schools
Bob Legg, a founding principal of Miller Legg, was responsible for getting an instrumental State Bill passed in 2006. The Send Your Sales Tax To Schools Initiative allows businesses who collect sales tax to forgo the sales tax collection allowance and donate that percentage directly to technology initiatives for our local schools. Since the adoption of the Send Your Sales Tax To Schools Initiative in 2007, $800,000 in tax credit revenue has been collected for Broward County Schools.
