Coconut Creek’s unveils “Generations”, the first installation of their Art Master Plan

Mike Kroll, President & PIC, and Jessica Romer, RLA, attended and shared:

It was an honor to join our clients and friends at the City of Coconut Creek for the unveiling of “Generations,” the first installation of the Art Master Plan for the City’s Government Center.

Developed by the Miller Legg team, this Master Plan identifies key locations and themes for art throughout the campus, creating spaces where residents and visitors can connect with meaningful works.

“Generations,” created by artist Marit Meisler, is a powerful tribute. Cut into Corten metal, the silhouettes represent the children murdered or orphaned during the Holocaust.

As Marit shared during her presentation:
“Designing a Holocaust memorial is a profound challenge: finding a way to evoke emotion without being too literal, to honor history while connecting its meaning to our lives today.”

Jessica Romer and I were privileged to attend this reflective ceremony alongside Holocaust survivors, residents, the City Commission, and elected officials. Special thanks to our partners at the City for their collaboration on this vision: Linda Whitman, Sheila Rose, Harry Mautte, Brian Rosen, and Scott Stoudenmire.
