Accessibility Statement
Miller Legg & Associates (Miller Legg) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards. We believe that everyone should be able to access and use our website with ease, and we are dedicated to maintaining a digital environment that is inclusive, equitable, and accessible to all users, including those with disabilities.
Miller Legg is committed to ensuring digital accessibility on all pages and content on https://www.millerlegg.com/.
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define three levels of conformance: Level A (minimum), Level AA (standard target and what most “ADA-compliant” claims refer to), and Level AAA (highest, best possible but not expected).
We strive to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and are working toward the (WCAG) 2.1/2.2 – Level AA.
We may revise this Statement periodically to reflect improvements or changes to our accessibility practices.
To enhance the accessibility of our website, we have implemented Web Accessibility (formerly known as Ally), a user-friendly plugin designed to build more accessible websites. An accessibility toolbar is located in the bottom-left corner of the screen, allowing visitors to personalize their browsing experience with a floating accessibility menu.
Web Accessibility App Services/Capabilities
Current capabilities of the app and how they help make our website more accessible include:
Content Adjustments
- Bigger text
- Bigger line height
- Text align
- Readable font
Font resizing, readable fonts, and link underlining let users customize text size, style, and clarity, making content easier to read and understand for people with visual or cognitive needs.
Orientation Adjustments
- Page Structure
- Reading Mask
- Hide Images
- Pause Animations
- Highlight Links
- Outline Focus
Orientation options let users reduce visual clutter / distractions, and customize how content is presented for their low vision, motion sensitivity, and/or attention-related needs.
Color Adjustments
- Greyscale
- Contrast
High contrast, negative contrast, grayscale, and light background modes help users with visual impairments.
Accessibility is a continuous commitment. We are gradually working toward greater compliance by:
- Reviewing and improving heading structure for clarity and screen-reader compatibility.
- Reviewing, adding and refining alt text for informative images and correctly labeling decorative imagery.
- Reviewing color contrast across text and backgrounds where needed.
- Reviewing and improving form labels, error messages, and keyboard navigation.
These updates are being implemented over time as part of our ongoing accessibility journey.
While we strive to meet the requirements of the ADA and WCAG, we do not guarantee that our website is fully accessible or that all content will be accessible to every user in all circumstances. Some elements may not yet be fully accessible (or within our control) due to technical limitations, third-party content, legacy design elements, or the ongoing nature of our improvements. We are committed to making reasonable efforts to improve accessibility, but our accessibility measures are intended to provide general assistance and do not constitute a legal assurance of compliance with any specific law, regulation, or standard.
